Okay...DH and I decided that the argument over the stereoscope was not worth $22!!!! I refunded the guy. His email was kind of threatening...so I didn't want to have any more contact with him.

I decided not to relist the item. My sister has Samantha, and I am going to include the stereoscope in her Christmas gift!

You know...I have only had one or two bad experiences with ebay, but this one tops them all!

PonyDreamer, you need to report him to ebay.

Send them the threatening emails, along with your correspondance with him about the stereoscope - so they know you didn't misrepresent.

This is NOT someone we need on ebay.

I know, MIss MooMoo...I am planning on it. DH and I are still discussing it.

I do, however, want to block him from bidding on my auctions. I can't figure out how to do it, though. Does anyone here know how?

I'm glad one of your buyers paid for what she purchased. It's too bad about your second buyer for Samantha's item.
Good idea about blocking him from bidding on any of your other items. I hope someone here can let you know how to do that.

Hi

Here's the link on blocking bidders.

Ebay Blocking Bidders

You will see the following when you click on it.

Are there eBay members you'd rather not sell to?
If you know that you don't want to sell to certain eBay members, you can put them on your blocked list. Members on that list won't be able to bid on any of your listings until you remove them from the list.

You can add or remove buyers from your list at any time.

Click on the underlined phrase of add or remove buyers and it will have you sign in... and should take you right through it.

UGH! I hate when things like this happen. I feel that you described your items very well (I was actually watching them and **forgot** to bid on felicity's tea set )

I hope this works out , and DEFINATLY block the bad eggs from future bids!

And DEFINITELY report him, complete with documentation of his rude, threatening emails!! I have NO patience at all for rude, threatening people on ebay--and I've met up with a couple of them!

And I have a question about blocking people....My husband has a 100% positive feedback on Ebay. But recently he tried to bid on 2 auctions by the same person, and both times he was blocked from bidding. He's never had any contact with this seller before, so how could he get blocked, and why? He asked the seller why he got blocked, but he got no response. Can a seller block someone for something generic, in other words can they block anyone who has under a certain number of transactions, or something like that?

Thank you so much, Mary Kate! I blocked him, and it was really easy.

I know I need to report him...I just haven't done it yet. I don't want to be vindictive. Right now I'm just angry with him, and I want to report him for the right reasons.

He said he was going to report me for fraud! That makes me laugh. I don't know what the heck he thinks he's going to accomplish.

I would rather just forget the whole thing, than report him. But we'll see.

Go back to the auction your husband tried to bid on and see what the shipping to location is set to (sometimes its for local pick up only and you can block anyone that does not fit the criteria). Also you can set a preference to only have people bid on your item who have a paypal account, a confirmed paypal account ( i know you can set that up through paypal... but not positive about ebay). There can be a number of reasons... from private (invitation auction) to location.

Thanks, Nellie O Mailey! I will tell him.

And Jenny, it seems important to me that you report him before he reports you. And I don't think that it matters that you're still angry. You would only be reporting the facts, and they don't change, whether you're angry or not. And besides, he was the cause for your losing a sale, and he broke the rules, and he was rude and threatening to you for no reason--you have a right to be angry and to want justice and to want him to not get away with the wrong that he did. It seems to me that there's no reason to protect him and keep his secret of what he did wrong.
